In a Los Angeles Times article by Richard B. Schmitt, the current administration has proposed changing the disciplinary process for lawyers practicing in the nation's immigration courts.
According to the article, changes would set new minimum standards of conduct for the attorneys and give judges greater power to punish them.
I have no problem with minimum standards of conduct, lawyers have standards set by states. For example, I am licensed by the State Bar of Texas and have to follow the rules by the state bar to continue to practice law.
Here are some links to the applicable rules:
Texas Disciplinary Rule for Professional Conduct
Texas Rules of Disciplinary Procedure
I think one "boss" to answer to is enough.
